Three Reports I'd Read Every Month
If I were leading a Christian school, there are three financial reports I'd want to review every month.
1. Statement of Activities
Am I operating within my budget?
2. Balance Sheet
Is our financial position becoming stronger or weaker over time?
3. Budget vs. Actual
Where are we ahead?
Where are we behind?
What decisions need to be made now?
These three reports don't just provide numbers.
They provide clarity.
And clarity leads to better decisions.
Financial reports should never exist simply to satisfy the board meeting agenda.
They should equip leadership to steward the school's mission wisely.
Something to think about:
When you review your financial reports each month, do you leave with answers—or with more questions?
If you'd like financial reports that help you lead with confidence, let's start a conversation.
