Your Processes Shouldn't Live in Someone's Head

Every school seems to have that one employee.

The person who knows how EVERYTHING works.

How tuition gets processed.

When payroll needs to be submitted.

Where the important documents are saved.

How to prepare the board reports.

They're incredibly valuable.

But here's the problem.

What happens when that person isn't available?

One of the simplest ways to strengthen your organization is to document recurring processes.

And it doesn't have to be complicated!

Start with a checklist.

Write down the steps.

Include deadlines.

Identify who's responsible.

Save it somewhere your team can access.

Then improve it as you go.

A documented process creates consistency, reduces errors, and makes training much easier.

Something to think about:

What's one process at your school that only one person knows how to complete?

Start documenting that process this week.

And if you'd like help developing consistent financial procedures, let's talk.
