Clarity Is Kindness
Sometimes leaders avoid creating firm policies because they want to extend grace.
I understand that.
Especially in a Christian school.
But unclear expectations don't necessarily create more grace.
Sometimes they just create confusion.
Consider tuition collections.
If one family receives one answer and another family receives a different answer, eventually someone feels they were treated unfairly.
A clear written policy gives everyone the same starting point.
When is tuition due?
What happens when it's late?
Who can approve an exception?
How are exceptions documented?
Clear processes don't prevent you from extending grace.
They give you a healthy framework within which to extend it.
Clarity is kindness—to your families, your employees and your leadership team.
